Brand South Africa was established in August 2002 and is the official reputation management agency of South Africa. It aims to build a nation brand that inspires South Africa’s people, is admired globally, and will advance the country’s long-term positive reputation and global competitiveness.
The main objective is to market South Africa to domestic and international audiences, positioning South Africa as a competitive investment destination, and to inspire and instill active citizenship amongst South Africans. Brand SA’s develops and implements proactive and coordinated marketing, communications and reputation management strategies for South Africa.
The organisation works to inspire new ways and unify civil society, business, government and the media to tell inspiring stories in building a positive reputation and confidence in the future of South Africa.
The aim is to contribute towards the country’s global competitiveness which will attract investment to South Africa and the continent across the eight sectoral pillars of: Exports, Investment and Immigration, Tourism, Governance, Culture and Heritage, and our People. It’s all about creating “an ideal destination” – whether for tourists, traders or investors.
