Fight against violence: “corpses” invade Lisbon

On Monday 25th November, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a stunt by Draftfcb Lisbon for APAV (Portuguese Association for Victim Support) drew the attention of the public to domestic abuse issues by lining one of the capital’s busiest streets with “corpses”. 40 mannequin-filled body bags represented the number of women killed by their partners in Portugal in 2012, with each bag identifying the cause of death and indication of the offender. The visual impact of the tragic statistic was coupled with a message of support, "Violence: hiding never helps. What helps is asking for help."
