Mid-Senior Art Director

We’re on the hunt for Mid-Senior Art Directors who are hungry to make magic and bring their X-factor to the Extraordinary home of FCB.

As an art director at FCB, you need to be a talented, ambitious, skillful visual creative who thinks in content and pictures. You are a born storyteller who loves ideas, conceptual thinking, all forms of visual art, typography, layout, and winning awards. Curiosity and a desire to keep learning are key. A collaborative creative with your finger on the pulse of culture and an endless stream of well-told, impactful ideas that are in tune with cultural trends.


  • Create award-winning work.
  • Help solve business problems through conceptual thinking and solutions.
  • Develop modern, social, and content-first creative executions.
  • Provide design and art direction in the development of broad and evolving platforms.
  • Effectively work on several campaigns at once, sometimes under pressure and often to tight deadlines
  • Contribute to the strategic and creative development of the agency’s marketing and new business development.
  • Contribute to the strategic and creative development of the agency’s marketing and new business development.
  • Contribute concepts/ideas to new business pitches, pro-bono and in-house projects.
  • Keep abreast of current marketing and consumer trends on all platforms.
  • Keep up-to-date with all relevant Adobe and other industry-standard software; layout, illustration, editing, and presentation.
  • Have a keen interest and awareness of the latest digital, social and typographic layout trends.
  • Deliver growth on accounts by pioneering new ideas that anticipate the client’s future creative needs.
  • Understand format optimisation for print and digital mediums.
  • Provide quality assurance of creative deliverables.
  • Create compelling presentation decks.
  • Act as an ambassador of FCB and FCB brands
  • Share knowledge from formalised training and industry events with the team
  • Mentor team members to instill confidence, ensure excellence, and encourage progression.
  • Maintain good relationships with the broader internal team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand client goals, strategy, and feedback.
  • Be at ease presenting internally and to clients while engaging them.
  • Forge relationships with clients.
  • Assist in the selection of production houses, directors, animators, voice-over talent, sound engineers, musicians, etc.
  • Assist in providing direction on a shoot.
  • Understand the post-production process of video content – offline, online, grade animation, and audio.
  • Understand social and digital production requirements.


  • Undergraduate degree in a field related to advertising.
  • 5 – 7 years’ agency experience as an Art Director.
  • A strong award-winning portfolio of through-the-line work – with specific examples of work in the digital space.
  • Portfolio must demonstrate high creativity, imagination, and curiosity, as well as the ability to think strategically and conceptually.
  • Be a creative problem solver.
  • Must have great storytelling abilities.
  • Must be able to work under pressure and manage workloads effectively.
  • Be highly self-motivated and well-organised.
  • Must be able to work within strict budges.
  • Quick thinking and attention to detail.
