As a Never Finished Copywriter you will:

  • Write strong, succinct copy that is grammatically correct and on brand
  • Have an entrepreneurial disposition and can move with the ebbs and flows of pitches, brainstorming sessions, and deadlines with agility, humour, and focus
  • Take feedback, understand it, interrogate it, and respond to it timeously
  • Demonstrate strong conceptual thinking across multiple media channels
  • Contribute ideas that are on brief, on strategy, on budget, and on time
  • Prioritise tasks, manage deadlines and adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Have an interest in commerce, popular culture, new advertising trends and technologies, then reflect this in your work
  • Possess and encourage initiative, curiosity, empathy, accountability, creativity, and maturity
  • Have basic proficiency in relevant AI tools (Grammarly, MidJourney, ChatGPT)

Minimum Experience & Qualifications

  • 3 – 7+ years of copywriting experience in an agency environment
  • Relevant tertiary qualification
  • Strong portfolio of work
  • Distinctive writing style and versatility in crafting brand personality, from comedic to heartfelt
  • Big platform thinking that works across all media, from broadcast and traditional media to social and experiential.
  • Solid production experience, including on shoots, recording studios, and post-production
  • Working knowledge of relevant generative AI and writing tools (ChatGPT, Grammarly)

MID-WEIGHT PROJECT MANAGER

Role Overview: FCB is on the lookout for Integrated Project Manager. You will support the Business Operations Manager in the day-to-day operations.

The mid-weight Project Manager is an attention-to-detail, get-things-done human. A quick thinker and keen analytical person. Someone who enjoys a challenge and is always open to learn, grow and inspire.

You will be responsible for the planning, management and coordination of client campaigns and projects. You will need to be able to manage multiple projects and be able to work under pressure in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Reporting to the Business Operations Manager and working closely with the account leadership team you will ensure seamless project lifecycles and completion, balancing creative excellence and valued client partnerships with operational effectiveness and efficiency of projects.

Focus Areas:

  • Operation of the client account – process flow of jobs through the systems. Managing the functional/executional output of project internally and with client though out project lifecycle.
  • Scoping and costing on jobs (timings, dependencies, costs), ensuring profitability on jobs and feeding this information back to the senior account leadership team.
  • Project management of project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with project stakeholders and in accordance with FCB methodologies.
  • Increase performance and minimize expenditure of projects through financial and team hours reporting.
  • Manage project scope internally – feeding this information back to senior account leaders – focusing on the balance of client value and relationship building and project on-time and on budget delivery.

Day to Day Responsibility:

Project Management

  • Defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with project stakeholders and in accordance with FCB methodologies.
  • Interrogating briefs from account leadership and ensuring that all the required information is present before work enters the system.
  • Organising in collaboration with account leadership and coordinating discovery sessions with project stakeholders to ensure that each project is properly planned for, and scope is properly estimated.
  • Preparing necessary and relevant documentation in relevant systems (scope of work documents, cost estimates, timing plans, change and risk management) to ensure the successful delivery of your projects.
  • Setting up and maintaining project boards on planning platforms like Monday.com, distributing tickets to relevant resources and ensuring that work is completed to highest agency creative, strategic excellence.
  • Organising, collaborating with, and leading multiple teams.
  • Preparing project timelines with input from the Business Operations Manager and Studio Manager about resource availability at the beginning of projects for Account Leaders to send to client.
  • Updating project timelines in the event of change control so that client is appraised of any changes to delivery dates.
  • Ensuring that project teams understand their tasks and what is expected of them and ensuring this is delivered.
  • Ensuring that project teams have all the assets and information they need to complete tasks.
  • Setting, tracking, and reporting progress on jobs to Account Leaders and the Business Operations Manager on a weekly basis.
  • Scheduling reviews with project stakeholders and ensuring that they are attended.
  • Identifying risks and effectively mitigating these with stakeholders.
  • Timeously communicating expectations, risks, issues, and progress on jobs to Account Leadership and the Business Operations Manager.
  • Tracking budgets by doing weekly financial recons of projects, escalating over-budget work to the Business Operations Manager and business leads.
  • Collaborating with the Business Operations Manager and specialist departments to source the right skills and resources for the job.
  • Reviewing, checking, and approving the final delivery of your project.
  • Manage deliverables with vendors, suppliers, and freelancers, working with HR and Finance to load new users to the system and assisting with processing invoices and purchase orders with the Finance department.
  • Managing process flow of jobs through the systems. Managing the functional/executional output of project internally and with client though out project lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification.
  • Three to five years of industry experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and team members.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong financial acumen and proficient in Microsoft Office & Chase tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive growth strategies to expand the agency’s client base and market presence, integrating consumer insights into all aspects of strategy development.
  • Conduct in-depth consumer research and analysis to uncover key insights into target audience behavior, preferences, and purchase drivers.
  • Develop brand, communications and execution strategies and tactics and be able to guide creative to ensure creative outputs align with strategic approach.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and creative departments, to ensure consumer insights are effectively integrated into all aspects of campaign planning and execution.
  • Utilise consumer data analytics and performance metrics to track, measure, and optimise the effectiveness of growth initiatives, with a focus on consumer engagement and conversion rates.
  • Lead the development of compelling proposals, pitches, and presentations that leverage consumer insights to resonate with target audiences and drive business growth.
  • Cultivate relationships with potential clients, industry partners, and key stakeholders, leveraging consumer insights to identify and capitalise on market opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, market trends, and consumer behavior insights to inform strategic decision-making and campaign development.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to senior management on growth opportunities, market trends, and consumer preferences to drive business success.
  • Mentor and support junior team members to foster professional development and enhance their understanding of consumer insights and their role in driving business growth.
  • Represent the agency at industry events, conferences, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility and generate business opportunities, leveraging consumer insights to engage with key stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a related field (Marketing, Media, Data, Economics etc.)
  • 8 years’ experience within marketing or strategy development
  • Demonstrated expertise in consumer research and insights, with a proven track record of leveraging consumer data to inform strategic decision-making and drive business growth.
  • Experience with consumer research tools, methodologies, and data analytics platforms.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also independently managing projects and initiatives.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs, with a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
