Mid-Senior Designer

We’re on the hunt for Mid-Senior Art Directors who are hungry to make magic and bring their X-factor to the Extraordinary home of FCB.

As a senior design you will be responsible for establishing the conceptual and stylistic execution for projects and campaigns, and will work in conjunction with the Art Directors and Junior Designers on all design solutions. 

Responsibilities

  • Consistently drive and champion potentially award winning ideas 
  • Understand the clients’ challenges, objectives, industry; their business model, their performance and success factors  
  • Execute the development of consistently brand-appropriate, strategically correct and compelling creative work for all assigned clients  
  • Ensures the sale and production of creative work answers clients’ business problem and effect positive change 
  • Solve business problem with conceptual creative work 
  • Deliver package of creative ideas 
  • Present cohesive and persuasive rationales for campaign approaches 
  • Positively project as ambassador of FCB brands 
  • Attend company and industry functions to positively represent FCB and to bolster staff morale  
  • Attendance of Wednesday pro-active session and contribute to weekly proactive ideas 
  • Responsible for the quality of execution and quality of thinking and creative 
  • Manage FCB’s internal and external design collateral 
  • Responsible for seeing the idea through to final sign off  
  • Consult with creative, art, copywriting, or production heads to discuss client requirements and presentation concepts, and to coordinate creative activities  
  • Conform to brand or strategy defined by the client 
  • Keep abreast of global design trends, award trends and improvements in both techniques and technology  
  • Act as an ambassador of FCB and FCB brands 
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients 
  • Consult with clients to determine objectives, budget, background information, and presentation approaches, styles, and technique 
  • Contribute to the strategic and creative development of the agency’s marketing and new business development 
  • Manage own accounts and projects, working within budget and scheduling requirements 
  • Fosters a spirit of teamwork and camaraderie within the assigned team  
  • Partner effectively with cross-functional teams 
  • Coach team members to instil confidence, ensure excellence, and encourage progression

Requirements

  • An undergraduate degree in Design 
  • 5-7 years working as a designer in an agency environment 
  • Demonstrate a high standard of design and creativity within their work 
  • Well versed in brand and marketing theories 
  • Well-developed communication skills 
  • Ability to create and deliver effective presentations to clients and colleagues to convey design ideas 
  • Ability to develop design processes and procedures to meet the needs of the business for now and future 
  • Inspiring, open minded, hard-working, collaborative, and passionate 
  • Ability to keep up with new creative technologies and analyse new trends and data 
  • Proficient on industry standard applications:  Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop 
  • Ability to direct work with a team of Art Directors, DTP, Copywriters and Production resources to create consistent visual/verbal messages throughout all media. 
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Proven aptitude for quick creative thinking with acute attention to detail within demanding deadlines
